Trenton, NJ's Heavy Metallers MIDNITE HELLION are currently seeking a singer. We have a strong following in the Tri-State Area as well as in Germany. Our demo, "The Fever," was released in November 2011 and the initial pressing was sold out within three weeks of its release. It has been repressed twice since, including a recent one exclusively for the Keep It True Festival in Germany this past weekend (April 27th-28th). We are currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on our upcoming EP, and it will be released with worldwide distribution on an indie label, although we do have larger indie label interest as well as European PR interest. We have a few upcoming high-profile shows, including opening for ARTILLERY's second and last US show for this tour on May 26th in Brooklyn and opening for BLOOD FEAST in Trenton in June. Ideally, we'd like to have our new singer up to speed in time for the shows.
What we are looking for in a singer is somebody that not only has the singing abilities, but is also a team player. With that in mind, no drama/egos/druggies/etc., please. Must be willing to participate in any and all band activities, from attending bi-weekly evening rehearsals on Mondays and Wednesdays in Hamilton, NJ, attending and performing at gigs (obviously), assisting in promotion/ticket sales/merchandise sales, load-in/load-out/set-up/tear-down, etc.
Our influences are a very wide range. To name a few in the Metal vein - Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Saxon, OverKill, Exodus, Black Sabbath, Mercyful Fate/King Diamond, Helloween, Motorhead, and DIO, as well as a majority of the bands from the NWOBHM movement, but we are also influenced by all genres of music, from Rock and Metal to Jazz, Blues, and Classical.
